small trip to the yard today at lunch.... AL cans, a few pounds of copper and 30 lbs of scrap metal that I picked up off the side of the road.... got $27.00 took it to the bank then converted to Alcoa Stock..... this will make 78 shares.... looks like I am on glide path to hit 100 shares by the end of the year from what most people think is junk / trash.

Interesting project. How much commission do you pay every time you buy new shares?
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

I pay $1.00 I have been a member of Share Builder since around 2000. The plan I am on costs $12 a month is you purchase any stocks that month or not. That gets you 12 buys a month. every buy after that is an additional dollar. It is pretty cool.... It lets you purchase fractional shares. I make way over $144 a year in dividends (I roll them back in as DRIPs) so basically it is a free service.....

It is run by Capital One now... It has changed hands several times over the years. If you call them, they will set you up on the $12 dollar a month plan.

2 Amigos on Price Street with coupon in Dandy Dime. They were also taking liquor btls. and jars for the $.06! I wish I knew that as I have a few buckets full of them... And the #2 was CRV water jugs and such.
