Also says he may amend Obamacare instead of repealing it, or at least keep some parts if it is repealed and replaced.

And that he would accept a fence in at least some areas instead of a wall.

We should have a tracking thread to compare his campaign promises to actions and results over the next four years. I have zero doubt that many more will be watered down and/or swept under the rug, just like every president before him.

I think most sane people understand Trump is not the king and he cannot do whatever he wants.
All he can do is apply pressure until the legislature approves what he's wants.

Trump is playing chess, everyone else is playing checkers and he will continue to win.

Hillary will be granted a pardon, Trump knows this. Why would he participate in the continued distraction?

It is not necessary to build the great wall of China along the border. Trump knows this. Why could he commit to a solid wall, when he knows it is not necessary, and his opponents will use this fact as ammo in the future?

Trump understands it is all about field position. Every yard is a victory. He will make mistakes and he will screw some things up. All presidents do. But he is not going to actively try to destroy whats left of the US. He is going to press forward and rack up victories everywhere he can.

This isnt russia. Of course his positions change once hes actually meeting people and seeing what he can do and where. Anyone who refused to adapt would be a complete lame duck and get us nowhere. Have you seen his plan for the first day in office? Then the one for the first 100 days? Much of it he can do on his own, and is indeed in line with what he always said.


I wouldnt be so sure hillary is off the hook however. Maybe for the email stuff, but FBI was saying only days before the election that they were going to push for indictments in February after the election for the pay for play stuff. If that is true then that might even be why trump said that, he looks pretty for the reporters but knows the hammer is coming down anyway. Guess we will see soon.
