Just got a nice wire stripper made by TNT Tooling for about $50. Spent over an hour stripping #2 insulated wire (the size of an electrical cord), but in this case it wasn't worth the time. Some of the other wire I wanted to strip (#1 insulated) was so thick that it wouldn't fit into even the largest hole of the TNT Tooling device. Oh well- learning experience. When I find the right wire and convert it to bare bright I'll be a happy camper.

Hopefully this tool won't be like a Ryedale that sits and gathers dust...

Yep prices on insulated wire are bad down here, If so make sure you get a business license in order to sell that stripped wire as yards around here will not buy it without one... good price on the alum skimmer pole though our aluminum prices are way bad still

What types of wires are you separating to get 40% & 50%? Yards around here are starting to do recovery rate% when before all was #2 insulated at same price

insulated 50% - Power cords, Extention cords , 16 gauge or so , I throw in bigger stuff that I don't want to strip etc. or don't have a lot of.

Insulated 40% - i get a lot of computers so its mostly wire from them. Ribbon computer Wire, fan wire, power supply wire, any data or phone wire will go in there as well. any thing 18 Gauge and smaller.
