It makes you wonder who their target audience is, how dumb they think they are, and how a total disregard for brand trustworthiness helps them.
I sometimes see things on HSN (as I'm flipping channels at ninja speed) that catch my eye. I back up to take a longer look. I think...'hmm, that looks like a good deal', and I watch further. I've even purchased a few items over the years, and all worked as advertised, even if I came to find out later perhaps a bit overpriced.
But this silver thing is just silly. Anyone with an internet connection and a calculator app can see that this is a 100%+ markup...while their pitchmen make it sound like a screaming deal.
Far as I'm concerned that's my takeaway. HSN = 100% over market.
From hence ye beauties undeceived, know one false step is ne'er retrieved
and be with caution bold.
Not all that tempts your wandering eyes and heedless hearts is lawful prize,
nor all that glistens gold.
