You could say 2023 was a 50/50 year for Coinstar and ground hunting. I was at a great pace until my unplanned eye surgery in early August derailed things somewhat. The year was still a strong one though, almost on par with 2022 in many catagories. The real standout was finds in my apartment complex parking lot, which was not only a new record but represented almost 15% of the overall US total. One coin spill in particular just last week (51 pennies and a dime) was better than my best Coinstar haul. I don't know how much I'll hit the green machines next year but I hope it's enough to make interesting reading for you all.
