I had a dozen of these back in the day. I pretty much lived on Eggos & Cheerios for several years around the millenium switchover.

It's one of 10 million, and they'll never make more. Shouldn't it be worth at least a bitcoin?! Lol

Yes, 5,500 of them packed in with the penny. The article below says they were struck from a different die than the regular circulated coins.

Good call. I do remember that now.

Completely ridiculous that it was a quarter century ago :|

I was showing my insulator collection to a high school aged kid the other day, pointing out one shelf of glass I had personally pulled down from abandoned poles over the span of several weeks. He said, "That must have been a long time ago."

I said, "Nah, it was only like 20 years ago."

His eyes sorta glazed over, and it was then I realized I had tripped into unrelatable geezer land.
