Advice to prep for 4 years of GOP rule

Postby coindood » Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:34 pm

I think many here, me included, are ecstatic about the election results. What are the best ways to use this new GOP majority to our advantage?

Make Ron Paul the Treasury Secretary and eliminate the Fed through his wise and common sensical leadership. (Ain't going to happen because power hogs never move away from the trough, but it's necessary.)

Gold and silver should drop if the world avoids wars like the last Trump presidency.

You'd think, at least if war was the only driver. However the perpetual deficit spending by everyone, may be the primary driver.

What are the best ways to use this new GOP majority to our advantage?

Become a corporate oligarch.

Generally a great way to hedge your bets in the American duopoly. No matter which party is in power, you'll likely make a killing.

I don't think becoming a billionaire in order to become a larger billionaire is a strategy. I would be happy being just a basic billionaire, if you can make that happen...

I'm making hay while the sun shines. You saw what their plan was for us when they thought they had total power.

When there is no effective press, your tax dollars are spent for indoctrination and gender reassignment surgery and to drop bombs on non-combatants, why stay in the US?

Assuming you can buy at a reasonable price (when it comes public), I’d seriously consider buying stock in Space-Ex, owned by Elon Musk.

Just don’t drink so much koolaid that you become drunk and do anything.

For those who don’t know much about the stock market, I’d be studying my backside off and absolutely licking my chops right now. That is absolutely NOT A GUARANTEE!
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

I am forced to say that I find it beyond disgraceful that he is our president again. Convicted felon and insults our troops. Disgusting. U.S. integrity has been officially destroyed.

That said, I currently have no tips on how to leverage a garbage president for my own personal gain. I will just continue to work and learn from my fellow savers.

If you can separate your personal feelings from what is out there available for the masses, you can potentially do better.
Example: I bet on 5 of the various Trump stocks (DJT, DJTWW, DWAC, DWACW and DWACU) a total of 28 times since 2021. I bet on them to go both up and down as people clearly get way too optimistic AND pessimistic about the various Trump stocks.

Total results of the 28 trades:

$31k in profits
$3k in losses
$28k in net profits (about $1k per trade)

Not trying to brag- those are facts.

And that is in spite of being offended by many things he’s said and done.

Well, rather than waste my time rebutting this, I'll just say that in a perverse way I appreciate knowing how people feel so that I can gage how much attention to give them going forward.

A conviction in NY is a badge of honor. No other state would have allowed that silly woman to bring such an obviously contrived complaint, much less hear it in a courtroom.
From hence ye beauties undeceived, know one false step is ne'er retrieved
and be with caution bold.
Not all that tempts your wandering eyes and heedless hearts is lawful prize,
nor all that glistens gold.

Trump has never been convicted of a crime. The judge issues a conviction, not a jury. The jury can say, "Guilty", but until the judge convicts and imposes the sentence, a conviction has not occurred. Additionally, if reversed on appeal, a conviction is annulled ab inito.

Pointing to a hoax about Trump just indicates the level of brainwashing involved. Trump never disparaged servicemen. The corrupt media lied and many just wanted to believe.

Trump recently announced a $10 billion lawsuit against the media. Let's see how that goes.

I'm a big fan of Ron Paul and ending the Fed, but it doesn't accomplish much.

If there were no Fed, Uncle would just print UST bills instead of having the Fed print FRNs. It would be an improvement, because no interest paid to the banks, but Uncle would still have unrestrained spending.

The key is to use something like gold which is limited in quantity and can't be printed into existence.

You would still need banks. Most people don't realize it, but your local bank or credit union, when aggregated with all of the others, prints more money than the Fed or Uncle. That's because when they make a loan they just conjure the money into existence, they don't even have to print it!!!!

Using something like physical gold or Bitcoin would be good for society, because it would limit the power of goverment to stealth steal your earning power. But at the same time it would greatly limit growth and rise interest rates. The transition would be scary but eventually we would adjust. The banks as we know them would be kaput because they rely on loan growth to stay in business. Instead, interest rates for real money would have to rise significantly because there is so little real money. Personally I'm fine with that because I have real money, but I suspect wealth inequality would get significantly worse.

More likely we will maintain this dual system of official fiat and unoffical gold, silver, bitcoin, real estate, etc.
