HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAA Le lu yah........HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAA Le lu yah!!!

So after searching halves since Christmas on an off and on basis... I FINALLY found some!

Two weeks ago I was out with my cousins kids and I stopped by a bank to buy $50 in halves. They asked why and asked if we were going to play some kinda money game. I said "yep... were gonna play a money game" Puzzled... they began to ask questions. I explained it to them what I was looking for. Low and behold as we began to search... Found one! A clad 68! Then... a second one... then a third... then a fourth! Cool they said... they showed "the game" to their dad (now he's a searcher I bet :D ) and wanted to look for more (I gave them each a bi-centennial by they way). They thought that was COOL too! :)

OK... so on to today... I went and got another $50 from ANOTHER BANK IN ANOTHER STATE (1st time since that find) and opened the 1st two rolls and was skunked. No worries. Opened the 3rd... BOOM... 1 PRISTINE near BU 1964! and then another... and another! :D WOO HOO!!! 3x MINT 64's in 1 roll!

And to think... I was on the brink of going to all pennies! Guess I'll be hitting up more halves! I'm on a streak... in 2 states none the less too!

Thank you Lord! I know it's yours... but thanks for letting me hold on to it for awhile! :D

And another sorting addict is born.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

I started searching halves about 3 years ago. At the time, I was the only game in town according to the tellers. I was finding silver all the time for about a year, and then competition started showing up. In the last 2 years, I haven't found but a few silver halves. Fortunately, dimes are much kinder to me, and, for the time being--I'm the only game in town=)

Crap, I just jinxed myself, I know it!

Are you located anywhere near that source? If you are get back in there as soon as you can. I would be willing to bet that if you pulled 3 90's out of one roll that that whole box is loaded. I had just hit a box that had 24 1964 Kennedy's and I was getting a few rolls that had 3 and 4 silvers in each.

You guys make me jealous with all your silver finds. Last year I found a few but this year the finds have been few and far between. I have been searching $4,000.00 a week and rarely come up with anything. So it is not like I'm searching $50.00 or $100.00 a week. I am about ready to give it up. I suppose $37.00 silver creates a lot more searchers.

I second that sentiment! When I began searching rolls of coins back in July, 2008, I promised God that I would sell at least half or more of what I found that might have any value as a way of contributing to our household since I can't drive, therefore, I can't work. I have done this. I have a few silver coins I have found in the last couple of months and just wish I would have a peace about knowing when to sell these. I wish the two way communication was a bit clearer to me so I would know when He feels it is a good time to make the most for what I have found so that our budget would get the optimum benefit from this hobby.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

Don't give up. Keep the faith that good things will come your way. And, yes, the higher the price of silver and the more it is mentioned now on TV ads trying to get people to buy it along with gold is opening the eyes of more people. So more people are beginning to do what we have been doing for awhile now.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

ALL: GREAT comments! NOT braggin... but I did go back today! :D THANK YOU AGAIN LORD!!!!

$50.... Found 4x MINT 64's and 2x silver clads!!!! :D

I'm going for $2K next week!

JUST A TIP EVERYONE: These coins are coming from an OLDER SMALLER PRIVATE Bank (where.... :D ).... I suspect that these have been sitting in their vault since the early 90's based on the coins present. Morale of this story: look for older private small town banks! :D

Happy hunting all!

PS... If I strike it big in the $2K... I plan on selling out a chunk of it and giving to the Lord... how... where... I don't know yet. I'll sell it on here if I do! If I hit it BIG BIG!!!... I'll share some of the wealth with some of you major sorters who have been skunked (as was suggested earlier... I like that suggestion... I just don't sort enough to consider being in that group... but if I hit it BIG BIG... I don't mind contributing to my fellow searchers here!) :D PLEASE!!! NO PM's on this yet!!!! :D

I'll keep you all informed of how this goes within the week! WOOOO HOOOO!

Just had propane delivered yesterday, paid for it in $400.00 worth of halves. The gas man looked at me a little strange and then said well moneys money. I said glad you think that way. Next time I pay in pennies!

OK... so I went back to the bank today with $2K on me. I asked for ALL their halves. ;) She said "well... we have quite a bit". I replied... "OK... up to $1800 then". She looked at me like I was on smack and then came the questions. After telling her that I was a collector and that I was temporarily living away from my wife while starting a new job... she smiled... invited me to her church (and I'm going this wed too!)... and then she handed me over $400 in halves! (and no... I ain't cheating on my wife... she was my mom's age and ewww). :P So I got home with them... and...

Ended up with 24 NICE 64's
and 7 silver clads

NOT BAD!!!!! Not the score I was hoping for (sorry... no freebees for anyone on this one)... but none the less a good find! My first real score! I'm going to the branch on the other end of town tomorrow! :D

Happy hunting all!

Man if I found 24 ninety percenters I wouldn't know what do with myself. I just went through $2000.00 tonight and I found a total of 2 forty percenters. I just haven't been finding anything this year.

I give 10% of my increase back to the one that let me live through this past year. It's been a wild one. Good luck to you all, stay true to things that make this country great!
