Ink cartrages

Postby davycoppitt » Sun Apr 03, 2011 11:10 am

Does anybody know of the best place to sell used Ink cartrages? I would like to stay away from staples or Office MAx, since I don't want in store credit. I found a few places on line. I was just wondering if anybody know who payed the best? Thanks.

Depending on how many of them you have, you might come out best selling them on Ebay. Most of the places that buy online want at least 20 or 50 cartridges per shipment. Certain cartridges also sell for more on Ebay than to anybody else.

Read the fine print with Staples or Office Max. The $3 per cartridge isn't cash, but a discount on a future purchase.

Staples now only gives $2 per cartridge. I turn mine in there, but since they only give you credit for 10 per month, they are starting to pile up.
I wasn't aware that you could sell empty ink catridges on Ebay. Which ones sell best?

Looks like HP ink cartrages sell the best on Ebay. I might just save those for ebay then send the rest to some online dealer.

Staples lets you take 20 if you have a business account. works great for me, I buy for my business and then use the free money for things the wife and I want.

HP brand sell the best, but only certain cartridges. Color usually sells for more than black. They need to be OEM and never refilled before (commonly referred to as "virgin") The best selling HP cartridges are HP 22, 28, 57, 60 series and 901 series.

Lexmark #34 and #35 bring good money.

Canon #41 and #51 bring good money.

Any other brand usually doesn't bring much.

I regularly buy ink cartridges on Ebay. If anyone wants to PM me a list of cartridges you have, I'd make you an offer.

I found a place on the internet eCycle or something like that. (I have over 100 carts for all different makes) I requested a shipping label and they sent that and an inventory sheet. There is no way I am going try and ID every one of those. Maybe I will check out staples and set up a business account. I will not jump thru hoops and don't like gimmicks. If this is just a trick to get you to spend money I am out.
