Question about pawn shop find

Postby Shattered » Fri Apr 15, 2011 7:37 pm

I picked these bad boys up today for $11 a piece. My question is whether their is any added value since they have the original packaging or are they only worth the silver? A quick scan of feebay says they are more valuable but I'd rather here it from someone here. Thanks!

Bust them out of the packaging so you can save shipping charges when you sell.

In my opinion those 'Blue Ikes' are worth more with the packaging and the 'poker chip'. I've got a '74.

Don't bust the package until Ag hits $75/oz.
Then the metal value will make it a moot point.
It's a shame to see the numismatic value be discounted and/or unrecognized :(
If it was a Walker in that nice condition I'd frame it and display it proudly

Keep it in the packaging. They carry a premium, especially because it is sure to be silver without weighing/closely inspecting it. Outside of the packaging, it could just be a non-silver 74-S.

So they do indeed carry a premium. That was what I was wondering. I never intended to bust them out, just curious if they had any additional value.

Thanks for the replies.
