I got a 2011 P dime in change today, my first 2011 non-penny of the year (also got 4 2011 pennies at the same place).

Finally got my first 2011 penny(ies!!!).

Picked up a few rolls for searching when we were out and about this past Friday and four rolls were almost completely solid 2011. The four rolls contained 199 of the 2011 Shield Penny and one penny was a non-copper, non-birth date/non-wedding year penny; basically it was a go back to the bank penny.

These were in the plastic sleeve like Brinks uses and I must say that for being "new" coins they sure didn't look good at all. I had taken my white gloves out to handle the first roll. After seeing how they looked, it put them up and just handled the rest of the coins like a normal roll. They were spotty, had nicks and bad dings and already looked like rust in places on them. Don't know how these coins are being handled before being rolled but it isn't treating them nicely at all.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

Within the last couple weeks, I have received my first wild 2011-P nickel and dime, and a 2011-P Johnson dollar.

Still no 2011 quarters yet... even 2009 and 2010 quarters are still hard to find. If I weren't a coin geek, just a regular person who glanced at his pocket change from time to time, I'd think that quarters were discontinued after 2008.

That's probably a German euro coin. The D mintmark would mean it was minted in Munich.

Found a 2011-D nickel in a friend's change jar over the weekend. It's my first Denver nickel since 2008.

Got some dollar coins from the bank. Among them I found my first 2011-P Grant dollar, added the 2008-D Monroe and Jackson dollars to my collection, and found another 2004-D Sacagawea.
