Finding uncirculated pennies?

Postby Number21 » Wed May 11, 2011 9:07 am

I know sometimes people here complain when they accidently get a brand new box of pennies. Seeing what they're going for on ebay, I wish I would have hoarded a ton of 2009s. I think I'm even going to start keeping the circulated ones.

Anyway, I'd love to be able to buy at least a few boxes of brand new cents every year. (at face value!) Is there any special way to get "new money" besides random luck?

Hmmm...there aren't any of those around here. Does it have anything to do with simply how close your bank is to the mint?

For example, on late night TV there is always a lot of commercials for "uncirculated" quarters, dollars, whatever way above face value...they must have tons of them! Where do they get 'em? Is there any way I can put in an order at a bank or anywhere else for NEW coins?
