Is Money the root of All Evil? (Ayn Rand)

Worth watching.

“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.”
"The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

You can love money. And still be a great person for society. Being rich or poor doesn't dictate how a person will react or treat those in life

What a bunch of crap.

Money is a tool of exchange which can't exist unless there are good produce and man to produce them.

This sentence imply ipso facto that you are free to use the tools or not, but you're not free, money is forced at gunpoint (law/legal tender/taxes/..) upon it's citizen by a government who out gun the citizen. Very free trade indeed...

When you accept money in payment for your effort only on the conviction that you will exchange it for the products of the efforts of others.
Same as the above less inflation that are again forced upon you.

Those piece of paper which should have been gold are a token of honor, you're claim upon the energy of the man who produce.

That need a explanation ? It should be true that but we know it is not.

You're wallet is you're statement of hope that somewhere in the world around you there are men who will not default on that moral principle which is the root of money.

Hope there is moral ? common isn't the 1800 here, people don't kill themselves to save their honor because they have failed to paid back a bank anymore. That was the case when the country constitution was created, and the entire democracy depend on it. But we aren't fool there is no moral anymore. The captain isn't the last one to leave the boat, it's usually the first one with a golden parachute...

And it goes on and on....
