Went through a $100 box of nickels today and found my first 1950-d in circulation ever! I have been collecting nickels for about 35 years and had never found one in circulation. It was a very nice vf-xf coin with no damage. Also found an au 1947-s along with several other coins pre 1960. I guess persistence pays off.
