Nice, very nice.

I've been on the wrong end of those before.

It sure feels good to be on the right end.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

very sweet lil purchase there....noticed two things, first, he's Canadian, second, he listed the dime as .9 toz......its .07....for trading purposes i'd call dimes a tenth of an ounce....but thats one of those nice sneak in deals.

Actually it looks like a few of those dimes are possibly worth grading also based on the pictures. That would really up the "takage" on this if that's accurate.

Getting a nice break on combined shipping. That really makes for some good deals on eBay.

Nice find. Much better condition than your average eBay find as well. I had pretty much given up trying to find any deals on eBay lately, but clearly there is still hope.

The dime deal got even better.

The seller e-mails me this:

"I was short a dime so I threw in a US silver quarter. The items are shipped. I will upodate the tracking info once Ebay fixes the tracking input issues."

Bully!

The word 'silver' would have helped the seller.

Kidman,do you know how bullish this lil nugget of info is?, the seller is...desperate, for a want of a better word, he;s selling his dinky lil stash of 4 coins, 90's, bout .68 toz for $22, in his store, he's got 4 or 5 Morgans starting bid 35, no takers and a bunch of baseball cards....i'm not trying to sound like a snob, but lets just say this is the average American, still holding on by the skin of their teeth to the "world of FRN's are King"...and WE know, that FRN's are cooked, but most folks dont, so they take what little silver coins they have or found, or Granpappy left them, and dump them, coz they have to, they need gas or grocery money....its sad....baseball cards....oh man.

lil bits of info added up can sometimes give you a glimpse of the larger picture, and that picture is $1000 an ounce.

no doubt.

I agree. Its pathetic that people are willing to part with coins that have often been held in the family for years just for a few bucks. To turn something with inherent value into something so disposable as gas and food seems well sad. Its all part of the grand plan of the elite (both liberal and conservative), to turn the masses back into nothing more than indentured servants. Gone is the "owner mentality" that was the hallmark of American Capitalism of the 1950s-1980s. The current generation is perhaps the least aware of asset value and ownership than in the history of man. They are willling to spend gobs of money on technology (all those overpriced Apple products) and consumables which have no real intrinc value. They have no regard or interest in history or historical objects.

I'm not in the "FRNs are cooked" camp because I believe that there is a concerted attempt to debase almost all currencies including the Chinese Yuan. That being said, those who continue to store thier weath in real assets will be handsomely rewarded over time. We may not make the highest retunrs, but on a risk-adjusted basis, we will come out ahead.
