1863 Civil War Token

Postby Common Cents » Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:16 pm

I stumbled across one of these babies today. At first I thought it was an Indian Head, but closer inspection revealed otherwise. The thing is in excellent condition. It's in much better condition than any of the 3 Indian Heads I've found. I saw a similar coin listed on e-bay for $32. Does anyone know how rare these are? Or the value of one that is in above average condition? I think this could be my best find yet while coin roll searching!

there are a bunch of different civil war tokens, hard to say what it's worth until we know which one it is.
