Got about 30 in 2-3 rolls... Is it worth something? I think it is steel... Circulated...

Wow, that's one heckuva find.

They're zinc-coated steel. They sell for a bit more than regular common date wheats. In circulated condition, one of my local dealers sells them for ~$7 a roll, and another one of them sells them for ~$4 a roll (tends to include culls). Don't know what they go for on Ebay.

I recounted... it's closer to 10-15... some were brushed pennies from the 80's.

Thanks for the answer

About five years ago I found about one hundred fifty of these in two Brinks Boxes I got from the bank. Someone must have turned them in at some point...

What you really want is a 1943 copper!
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

I have found 3 of those. But unfortunately they all stuck to the magnet. :(

I found a 1943 copper penny, but when I went to spent it at Burger King they only took it at one cent face value.

I thought they were rare- Oh well

Yea I always buy my fast food with silver quarters and I always feel like they're overcharging me somehow. Can't seem to figure it out though.
