If someone convinced him to sell @ $50k (Or 2.5c each) I'd be willing to take $200 worth of them.

I live 4 hours from the seller. If everyone wants me to go talk to the guy and confirm no false bottoms in the garbage cans, just let me know. I can go this week.

^^ i'm with you fb101, but 4.4 cents / wheat isn't bad if theres a decent % of pre-40's wheat cents. Also the steelies & indians would also help make the purchase worth while.

I'd be interested in a group buy. The seller is going to ship these out, so we could possibly just send money then get the locations confirmed et voila, each buyer get's the boxes of pennies at random.

If anyone wants to start up the tally of interested parties, add me to that list.

What does he know that we don't? Why not hold out for a higher price? Is the tanking economy going to drive copper prices down?

That's why it's worth driving down to see if there is real interest.

If he could be talked down to 3 cents each then I would be in to spend $3000 FRN's for a cut.

There's only one negative feedback. I doubt that this is a scam, based on the other items being sold.

What's the point of a reserve, if you are going to reveal it? Even if there were a couple 09s vdbs in there. It would not be worth it to look at the cents. And at 210K It swould be hard to make a profit reselling them.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

Shinnoskue - That'd be cool , but at best I could claim maybe 1% of what he has if he was talked down to 2.5c each.
