of 5000 pennies:
1690 Clean Copper (33.8%)
18 Wheat
14 Canadian Cu
1 Bahamas one cent coin
1 Connecticut Counter stamped penny
My copper percentages from my local bank are shooting up, but my number of wheats per bag is falling considerably, especially pre-1940. I also throw out "ugly abes", It is easier for me just to throw them back in the wild and use the money for more chances at clean coppers. Even if they only have a tiny bit of green stuff on them they go to the dump pile.
I'm almost to my original goal of filling a 5-gallon bucket!

793 Coppers
14 Wheats - (1934D and 1937 for pre-40)
18 Canadian coppers - all pre-1978, oldest was 1951.
1 1998 Bahamas
1 1995 Dime
Lots and lots of 2010's....in excess of 50, stopped counting after 30 or so.
Another 2000 WAM.
These were some of the dirtiest cents I've sorted - it was like someone soaked them in grime. Hands were filthy when done.
