First post & funny story

Postby lfishjr » Wed Oct 26, 2011 9:21 pm

Greetings from PA. I've been reading posts on the board for about 3 months and I'm a small time hand-sorter.

I just dropped $75 face of rolled zinc's at my deposit bank and had a pretty friendly conversation with the tellers about how they've had a lot of guys coming in to drop off/pick up penny rolls. They told me that I didn't need to roll them anymore, which I was pretty stoked about with the savings in time. After I dropped them off and they were just about to put them in the safe, a guy walked in and asked them for $75 in pennies. I couldn't help but laugh as I walked out the door and they handed him 100% zinc rolls.

If you're that guy and you're reading this right now, my apologies :D

Nice, and welcome! Bring those tellers some candy or something...never hurts to make sure they're on your side when it comes to doling out the goods! Plus, I dunno if you're superstitious, but I'd toss a copper or two into a wishing well or something--I'm told the gods of Karma don't take zinc, and that one might come back to bite ya!

I'm originally from Northeast PA, got family there still. There goes my feeding ground when I come home to visit!

Welcome
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

That's brutal! Seems kind of weird there would even be multiple people going to the same branch, especially enough for them to notice... Unless SECRETLY there are 100 times more people doing this than anyone knows :0

Mark your rolls so the next sucker doesn't get them. If I ask for rolls and I see where someone marked the rolls I tell the tellers that I don't want them. Welcome aboard.
