Not my pocket, but I found a 1948 Roosie in my buddies ashtray in his car. Bought it off him for $2.00.

I have been an avid coin collector since I was 12 (1980). In looking at every piece of coinage that passes through my hands in all that time, I have found only 6 silver war nickels, 2 silver dimes, 2 silver quarters, 2 silver Canadian quarters, and a slew of 40% halves. Haven't found silver in FIFTEEN YEARS! But, all my friends know I am a coin collector. Once a month a friend comes up to me and hands me a coin and says "Look what I got in change yesterday..." Always silver.
Well, a friend of mine yesterday showed me a nice 1946 Washington quarter she got in change at the store. I am happy for her. But boy would I like to find one!

Got a 1954 Silver Dime in change at BK this morning. :D The girl giving the change said "I'm out of quarters, I have to give you a bunch of dimes." It worked out well.

Love silver at face value.

At the end of the year I'l post a picture of all my SILVER pocket change finds for the year. This was the first year that I didn't just throw them in with the rest. Best year for me so far.

We'll close this thread in early 2012, so look for the new 2012 Pocket Change thread.
