OK, AM, you are on! I will try to update my finds this year - I don't find much, but will try to keep mine up.
Not quite pocket change, but close. Also, I consider this a "called shot". Told a co-worker I was going to the office coffee room next door to look for "gold" in the change. No, not gold, but I did find silver! So I consider that almost good as gold.
Found a old-looking Roosevelt dime at bottom of glass change jar. Looked at date - 1946! Not bad! A silver Roosie, and the first ones to be minted! I replaced that one with a copper-clad one and done!
It was a bit slick - came in at ~ 2.4 grams. But it was nice to see a coin that is 66 years old that finally found a good home - my hoard!
I lag my family in finds. My kid has found 2 silver quarters and a war nickel. The wife has found 3 or so silver quarters and one dime recently. But I do my part to find cheap silver!
They are still out there folks! I may consider getting a bag of dimes the next time - seems like the small date and size makes people not notice the silver ones.
Good luck all!
