I was at a bank yesterday and they were gettign cans ready to do a Million penny charity drive.
Anyone in Western NY want to go in with me to see if we can buy them once they are collected? I am not sure if they are going to be colected all at once or over time.

I would assume over time. Ask them and see what you can do

ummmmmm yeah where is it going to be? havent heard about it. I can even pick them up if they will have them all in one spot. yes, I know it will be around 6-7000 lbs. I bet brinks will just pick up little by little at a desired spot like a mall or something.
eddy - thanks for looking out and suggesting me. I only sold a couple of them
Adam, you forget about me over here?

I wish they'd do something like that around here. I bet with that many there will be some feathered friends.

The drive ended today. They told me they have less than $1000. What a letdown!!!.
Most of the million pennies (10k goal) came in the form of larger coins.
I am still going over next week to get what they have.

Did the charity issue receipts for donations? It'd be interesting if you could re-roll your zincolns, and then use this charity as a dump while at the same time making your tax-deductible charitable donations for the year.

The problem is that they told me I could buy them on Friday and I said I would be in on Tuesday. They said it was good with them. If they didn't have them they should have told me so. The woman also took my number. She could have called.
