Local news nik/cent story

Postby slvrbck » Thu Feb 16, 2012 9:36 am

So i was baking some bagel bites last night when i abrubtly had to run into the living room because I heard the local news talking about changing pennies and nicks. It was brief but to the point regarding Obamas push for the change. Has anyone else seen any similar stories recently? I know there has been some public mention of a negative connotation regarding composition change (vending industry, public outcry regarding further devaluing) but do you think he may try to push this through pre-election as a positive thing?
Soooo... Is it just me or is a chart of US debt looking dangerously parabolic?

I would guess they would do this as quietly as possible to avoid any discussion of spending/devaluation. Too much publicity might lead to a shortage of nickels and pennies.

I've heard that they are hoarding coppers and nickels in the East Wing while they still can.
Always drink upstream from politicians, they tend to foul things up.

The President would like this authority to be part of the 2013 budget.

I saw a quick blurp on HLN tonight about this story.
For such an obscure issue, sure seams to be getting coverage!

Maybe Andy can confirm if he has recently shipped a Ryedale to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in DC?
