Kennedy halves with different thickness

Postby theshoenlebens » Sun Feb 19, 2012 6:03 pm

So I noticed that these two halves are very different in thicknesses.
The thicker one is a 2009 and the other is a 2003 with the same weight though.
Is it a mint thing or ????
I hope the picture can show what I'm talking about.

it depends on the strength of the strike, I think a stronger strike results in more metal being pushed out towards the rim.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking. The details are more defined so I thought that the rim was just bigger because the weight were the same .
