German Janitor Finds Coin Stash

I saw several versions of the article and both contained these two conflicting points:

"I had no idea that I'd found a treasure," the 43-year-old Hols told the German news agency DAPD.
and later:

Hols is now looking at a promotion to the curating side of the museum and, according to the Daily Mail, "a suitable reward."
A spokesperson said, "she was very honest, a brilliant historian and a great detective."

Anyone see something wrong here? Are they rewarding her because she did not steal the coins...
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” – George Bernard Shaw.
