Beginners luck?

So, my first 6 boxes of halves only had one skunk. Yesterday I got 4 skunk boxes, what's the deal? Any chance I got my dumps back, or was my start just beginners luck?

Ok, it's now 6 skunks in a row.

Check the Tracking Threads section, you'll find that 6 straight boxes of skunk isn't uncommon. Eventually you'll get a box with 10 or more silvers. Personally, my big score was $4.50 in loose teller halves...5 of which were 40%!

I went to a new branch after work tonight. I asked for 3 boxes of dimes, and any halves? She said no problem for the dimes, but only "loose halves, that customers brought in." I said no thanks on the halves, when she came back with the dimes she had a cwr of halves. She said they're like this. I asked her how many she had. She said about 200.00 I said ok ill take them, but ill half to trade a box of dimes back. She said 250 then? I said sure, got the 250.00 cwr. I asked her, how many more? About a hundred. Ok ill get them tomorrow. I sorted the 250.00 on the way home. Found a roll with 3 40%ers in it. Then found a single 40%. I turned around, found out she had 160.00 more and took it out of my savings. I found two rolls with 3 40% ers in them. 10 40% ers total, not a bad day after all.

Keep searching and you will have ups and downs. When you score, you will appreciate it more after some skunk boxes. There is plenty of silver out there.

I can agree... I haven't placed my stats in the tracking thread but I think I am on 40 skunks... Doesn't bother me and this is the largest skunk streak I have ever seen. 12 was my old record. 2012 is starting out to be a bad year for hunting... at least for me. I have other people in my area that are doing ok.
