sorting dimes this morning and found a '97 S that looks to be silver. im still new to a lot of things with the silver hoarding and i thought only dimes '64 and older were silver. anybody with some info? its appreciated. thanks, madman

Good find! The US Mint has released Silver Proof Sets since 1992 so the coin came from a proof set.
If you happen to come across a dime from 1965, then you have something very special!
