FREE Whataburger with cheese and fries!

Howdy all! This is my first post. I just got back from Whataburger and I checked my change and I got 2 (not just 1, but 2) silver war nickels back as change. That just about paid for my lunch. I only wish I had checked the change at the drive thru window. I would have ask for some more nickels. Who knows how many more silver war nickels were sitting in the cash register? I learned a very good lesson today. "Always check your change when you get it in your hands".

Nice find. When you get a multiple valuable coins from a cashier, always ask to buy the rest of the roll.

Great find!! I've been finding some silver in change at fast food joints also. Two years ago I got a silver quarter in change from a McDonalds. I went back to the same register and asked for $5 in quarters and I got 3 more silver quarters. This year I got a Mercury dime in change at the Dairy Queen.

"I'll gladly pay you 349 Wheatie pennies Tuesday for a Whataburger today." (as Wimpy from Popeye would say if he lived next to a Whataburger) I have the best luck at fast food places. Especially this Whataburger. I'm not sure why? I bet I get at least 80% to 85% copper pennies back as change here. I'm thinking about handing the cashier a $10 bill for my next Whataburger and asking for all my change back in pennies. Now that I think about it... I might get so many old coins back from this specific Whataburger because I think that most of the customers here pay with change, so I am going to assume that this Whataburger doesn't have to go the a bank and get new pennies and nickels to give to other customers as change. Sounds good to me. By the way, I'm not a paid spokesman for Whataburger But I should be. I see an endorsement coming...
