Opened a savings account at my dump bank earlier this year and discovered they had plastic rolls. My thought was to save enough from my penny and nickle culls to have enough to start sorting halves. Ta DA, I cracked open my first two half dollar boxes this week (my bank has a minimum of two).
Upon entering the bank, I was looking forward to posting my half finds along side of those of whom I look up to as mentors. It felt like I was stepping up to the major leagues of sorting and I just got called up to play. I was a little apprehensive when I left the bank as they had "
$500" printed on four sides of the boxes and it felt like I was carrying a large sign that said "
LOOK AT THIS" Had my hopes up as it advertised plastic rolls on the inside and how to open but was filled with paper rolls. I thought perhaps they were "old" rolls, as they had nondescript brown print with nothing that said "String" on them.
My result to add to the stats: Two Skunks. 0-2 at the plate. So much for my first imagined Major League appearance. I think maybe I've been working in sports to long.
If I am nothing else, I am persistant. Expect more posts in the future. I'll whoop when I get my first. It's a jungle out there.
I also need to add I got skunked on a box of Ni. No war silver.
