I got a handfull of pre-1980 nickels. Most are the older "cut" ones. And there are e with George V.

Do these carry any premium?

Thanks

I would think the George V would cary a bit of a premium but I dont know where you could go to realize that premium

George V 1926 1927 1928?

Anything good here?

The 26 was in a 2x2 and had a $40 price on it. But it was in the junk bin.

For $20 I got about $10 in canadian quarters + dimes. About $5 in pennies with 40+ GeorgeVI's and 3 George V's. Also got 20+ .999 nickel foreign coins. Oh, 25+ .999 canadian nickels. 10 or so large cents from the UK. A couple of old chinese coppers. A couple of smaller Euro coins. A silver 1/10 netherlands "G" coin. An older Japanese coin that I found on numista....to be silver. I think I got my money's worth!

In the whole GV series nickels, the '25 and '26 are key dates. Only 200,000 1925' and 933,577 1926's were minted. The rest of the years were in the 2.5 to 5 million range.

The '26 has 2 varieties. The near 6 and the far 6. The far 6 being the harder one to find.
