Bags vs. Boxes?

Postby SilverDragon72 » Tue Apr 10, 2012 9:27 pm

I've been reading about how some people here buy bags of pennies instead of boxes. Can I ask for them, like I would buy a box? I'm guessing the bags have to be full in order to purchase?

My CU has $50 penny bags. I'm guessing they take them from the coin machine in the lobby. Just ask the teller if they have any, my CU manager is happy to get them out of the vault. I've been hitting about 29% copper on the bags.
Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

Oh, it looks good on you though.

I enjoy bags. I picked up 3 bags yesterday first 2 were normal opened the 3rd and saw a lot of wheats laying on top. Decided I better hand sort it. All said and done there were $2.02 face value in wheat pennies.
