I'm going through and cataloging my collection and I found that I have #34 of the originals.

I knew I had a bar but I didn't know if it was an original or an un-numbered one.

Woo hoo!

For the record... one fat boy and one series 1 have been released into the wild, wild west. I forget what numbers at the moment, but I can provide those later if requested!

justj2k78 wrote:Since there's so much hype and heat around these little biscuits of silver, I wanted to put something together to help some of the newer folks know just what we're talking about. If someone wants to make this a sticky, that's cool. I'll write what I know, others feel free to chime in, and then Doc can use his super-mod power to make it say whatever he wants.

Serial Series #1- Doc Rodebaugh debuted these on August 1st, 2011. This was the first work that he released to the general public. These were serial numbered, with the first 25 staying within the Roadbaugh Compound  . #26 was released to public in an auction, and was followed shortly after by the release of 14 more to the public, with a total of 49 made, 17 released, and at least one other gifted. Rarely seen on the secondary market.
Image

Serial Series #2 - These are known as "Fatboys", based on the Classic design, but stouter, with a deeper stamp imprint. They are Doc Rodebaugh's most recent release, serial numbered 1-58 causing quite a stir at 00:00 on February 25. 2012, when numbers 16-57 were made available on a first come, first serve basis exclusively at Coppercave.com. (1-15 and 58 were not released) These were sold out by 00:02 and are going for several times spot value on the secondary market.
Image

Serial Series #3 - These are known as "The Miner" and Doc broke out a new stamp for this batch. It appears 20 ingots will stay within the Rodebaugh clan, and the other 80 ingots will be available through http://www.CopperCave.com - for a total run of 100 ingots. This will be the largest run for a serial series for Rodebaugh Bars. The release date and time has been set for Friday, April 27th at Midnight.
Image

Classic Ingots - These are known as "Classics", unsure of the date these were first released. These were not serialized, there are greater than 500 ingots in circulation and there is no limit as to how many will be produced. They are released from time to time from a couple online sources, and occasionally Doc himself, as they are created. These are more polished then the 1st serial series, and debuted a new stamp.

Feel free to add or correct anything that needs fixing! I will add as more (inevitably) comes along.
