How can anyone be offended by what neilgin1 wrote? He used his colorful story to tie together the events that are brewing, leading us down the road to the end of the duct-tape. I only wish I could string together words like him to show my view of what is coming. Keep it coming neilgin1.

Anyhow, looks like silver down again this AM. Perhaps I need to scrape together a couple of bucks and go buy an ounce or two while the tape still holds.

Keep in mind fellas (and ladies), the public is still completely out to lunch on the PMs, especially silver. I continue to believe, regardless of where the broader markets go or what happens in the election etc. that nothing really big is going to happen until the attendant at your local gas station or the custodian in the hospital starts saying that they are buying silver. Then and only then will you see the big move. We are in early friends. Take comfort in that.

And for God's sake, keep stacking.

Sorry, I have to disagree. Neilgin isn't one to constantly preach or try to convert us. His beliefs at least to some degree influence the basis of his thought on other matters such as politics or economics and I welcome them. If for any reason a thread drifts into a area that I am not interested in I am fully capable of moving on to another thread. Even if I disagreed completely with his religious beliefs, his thoughts on pm's and the economic/politic situation would still be worth reading in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with a little tolerance with each other folks - I'm sure I've said a few things from time to time that went against the grain of other members.

He picks out a bunch of positives in the economy, yet barely glosses over the bad stuff. It reads like the feel good articles during a bubble that make you want to think it'll last forever. i didn't research it, but i have a feeling he wrote a lot of those articles about housing or tech stocks.

Ezekiel was a prophet who was trying to explain to the Jews why they were having their ass handed to them.

Now Neil is trying to do the same thing, and his message is being rejected because he mentioned God. Even if his post made sense, he was hammered because of this.

Right on Thogey, I think its cool for anyone to post their ideas, whatever they are. The only problem I see is that a lot of times, certain topics sidetrack people so they can't focus on anything else.

last thing, if you can bug out now, do it. You might still grieve at whats happening to our America, but you'll sleep easier, and folks still do say "hey" to each other when you go into town in middle America.

I don't know if y'all saw the Doomsday Preppers episode with the girl in Houston (I think) who was prepping to walk out of town when TSHTF. Seriously? What's wrong with moving now? Goal accomplished and she wouldn't even have to kill her cat.

The thing is...respect and tolerance has to go both ways. Displaying extreme attitudes on either side is just asking for a fight, and I come to forums like this one to get away from fights and flaming over religion or politics.

The original post was great, and doesn't deserve to be detracted by schoolyard bickering.

As often, while this has gone wildly off-topic, I get a lot from Neil's threads. I have to chuckle at them sometimes.

Interestingly (I re-read them) in the above I've never stated my world-view (though I have elsewhere) - though one might infer from one statement it is other than atheistic paganism. (I'll note that Engineer hasn't made a declaration either - only that he doesn't want world-views discussed.)

In hearty contrast, I strongly support above the ability of someone (especially an OP) here to include their world-view in their own threads, and I personally need that (regardless of their view) in order to get the most from any discussion. If I don't know where someone stands, then I don't know how to read their words, interpret their context.

Quite frankly if this forum loses that ability, then I lose most of my interest in the forum. So I will assert that ability and support that in others until such time as I'm silenced and kicked off.
