I gave some Whitman books to my friend, The_Tallness, and when he started trying to put coins in them, some were virtually impossible. That's when I told him they were nicknamed "thumb busters." Next time he got them out, he had a rubber mallet to put his coins in!!! Seems when I was growing up, the nickel book was impossible to keep coins in. They would fall out even as I was closing the book.

Why does it not bother you when you buy a $3.00 starbucks but when you loose a $3.00 dime it is the end of the world.

I found the same problem with some Mercury dimes in a Whitman folder from the 90s. Have the new folders from Whitman or Littleton fixed this problem?
