The 8-year-old and I went over to watch a baseball game tonight. I walked, she rode her bicycle. On the road over, she found a quarter. On the way back, I found a penny and a dime. Our metal detectors were a pretty popular model: our eyes. So... 0.36, plus a free high school game, plus a fun little daddy-daughter date. Good day.

Silver ring #4, lots of change, a doggie tag, junk earring, and a ???? you'll see......very heavy and kinda cool!

Nice job on the silver. I have no clue about the bird head. It's very heavy and has a hole on top of it's head. Under the head there seems to be a hinge so the head can move up and down as in giving a yes nod.

After work today I went back to the same place the silver dimes came from, no silver today.

I met my friends at the same park for about 2 1/2 hours this evening and I found:

1 Canadian dime and the bling in the picture. The nursing pin is gold filled, online calculator says it is worth about $10. I think the pin with the arrow must be some kind of scout pin.

I got out today after a big hot and dry spell here. I found the digging in soft sod/dirt very relaxing even though I didn't find much.

Still 0-for this year on silver coins even though I have 7 silver jewelry finds!

My last two hunts got me 98 coins for $6.63.

I've been keeping better stats then last year. So far I'm at 1,980 coins for $120.20..of which 7 coins were wheats and 1 was an indian head.

Nothing worth taking pictures of. I haven't touched the coin finds yet either. My rainy day etrac fund is at $120.20! I better start digging more pennies!

When it dries up here the ground gets so hard (clay) that is is really tough to dig. Not sure how much I have found so far this year but I will keep logging it here and add it all up at the end of the year. 7 silver jewelry finds is awesome, I have only found 2 but have also found the silver half and a silver dime so it's all good. Get out and dig them pennies!

One of my hunting buddies intited me to an old farmhouse today. He found a flat button and we each found a few clad coins and shotgun shells but nothing good really. We need to go back after the wheat is harvested.

plus 13 wheaties and 2 silver dimes, a 1942 Mercury & 1946-S Roosevelt.

I must have forgot to post my finds from Tuesday, I only found 2 coins....a copper cent and a 1945 Philipines 20 centavos (.750 silver)

A cool back to a pocket watch that i was wishing as gold...but it's flaking off so it's cool but REALLY cool!
