1-spy half, no bs look it up, couple weeks ago I found a hollowed out top of a kennedy(head) so tonight as im tossing the bad ones back in the box I hear someting weird, it is a distinct sound this coin is hollow, on a website I looked at it said you needed a special tool to open it, ive got that channel locks!!! Well there was nothing inside but it was hollow. Ill try to post pics, the reverse was the eagle but just real thin glued on a copper mexican coin. I haven't lost my mind as crazy as it sounds!!

They are common. I've got several that I've found. We call them magicians coins and I believe country even tracks them when they are reported. They are a neat find.

Went to my penny dump bank and they remarked that they had been accumulating halves, so I went across town to get more cash from my regular bank. While getting that cash, they also noted that they had a roll of halves.
$10 in halves - SKUNK
Back across town... $400 from the bank that got me started - and I see a Liberty bell peeking at me! But I also saw other coins, and a plastic token from a local restaurant... so I decided to count them to see if I was getting shorted. So the totals on the $400 were:
one 1963D Franklin and $399.50 clad halves. So I wasn't shorted. My extra: 1 quarter, 2 dimes, 3 nickels, and 9 cents... two of which were coppers.
So I got silver and a 69 cent bonus. I need to get halves more often!
