If is it solid, there are 40x40 + 39x39 +38x38 + ... + 1x1 stacks. It looks like they are stacks of 10.
If so, there are 221,400 coins.

since there are stacks, I see 10 high, it would be 40x40x10 + 39x9x10.. or just multiply the number yyou got by 6. so 221,400 X 10 = 2,214,000 if the stacks are 10 high.

40x40 base with 10 high stacks would be 221400. Over 2 million pennies would be a much larger pyramid. Think 7+ 55 gallon drums. This is a mere 3/4 ton pyramid.
