Found a 1909 VBD last night. Probably EF 40.

My son found a 1909 VDB, this past weekend. It solidified his searching. He said if he could find that... There must be other good stuff out there. I think I just got him hooked. I'll post a pic later.

I can finally join my own exclusive club. Found a 1909 Lincoln that has probably been in the ground for decades. I don't think it has a VDB on the reverse. Pretty sure not an S either. It's quite hard to read... the date's not even entirely clear. But for sure it has the 190... the all-important ZERO... so it is what it is, fellas.

searching $200fv tonight and found a wheat with dirt.. Saw 1xx9 and flicked the dirt off and it's plain, I call it Jane and it's a 1909 that's all mine!! No vdb or mint, just plain.

Found a plain 1909 this morning in a $50 bag. I have lost track of how many 1909 cents I have found. Seems I find them less though than Indian Head cents or V nickels. I still have hope of finding a key date cent one of these days, right after I return that call from Morgan Fairchild.
