I have a 10oz bar that I left in the original packaging and it cracked at some point over the past 20 years and the bar is now dark and ugly. I still love it though...

Because of that experience, I vote airtite...

Most premium coins should obviously be left in OMP for resale value. Generic stuff I wouldn't go out of my way to buy airtites for, but maybe stack them in any extra tubes i have laying around.

FWIW, I think silver and gold look much more sexy without all the plastic in the way.

I would leave any and every bar/coin in their OMP if it comes with one. Even the generics.

People tend to prefer buying, for example, a Silvertowne bar in it's mint plastic rather a loose one. If my LCS' junk box has several generic bar, I will pick the ones which are still in their mint packing. And from my experiences in selling, it's much easier to sell it that way.

Hope this helps.

Airtites but don`t get the direct fit or the ones with the chipboard in it.
get the ones with the sponge type sealing ring. it is not sponge and will not hurt the medal, but I`am not sure of the name of it.

JP`s corner is the best place I have found to buy them at the right price.
you can find JP`s on Ebay or order direct. http://www.jpscorner.com/

GOOD LUCK Beau
