Copper Paradise

Postby GGerrands » Thu Jul 19, 2012 6:43 pm

All apologies to Coolio and Weird Al.

As I walk through the room where I sort out my copper
I take a look at my Ryedale and run my hands through the hopper
Cause I've been sorting and stacking so long
That even Rodebaugh thinks my mind is gone.
But I've never tossed a zinc that didn't deserve it
And a 59 wheat is almost unheard of.
I'm a man with a plan, I'm gonna stack this CU
Maybe even get a couple pounds of silver too.
I'm the kinda hoarder all the sorters wanna be like
At my desk day and night sorting in the lamplight.

Been spending most our lives, living in a copper paradise.

Look at this inflation it has my heart racing
Can't earn enough interest in my preferred checking.
So you gotta be down with all this street sort knowledge
Half these degrees you don't get in college.
Got a popsicle stick in my hand & a gleam in my eye
Stopped by the cops with a scale gave this my alibi.
When TSHTF ain't but a heartbeat away,
Gonna stack some bullion for a rainy day.
I keep an 82, toss an 87.
Find an error date, I'm in mintmark heaven.

Been spending most our lives, living in a copper paradise.

Pennies to dollars, dollars to pennies...
Ryedales fool? You know I got twenty.
Every one's running, half sorting double
Ten thousand face value? You know it's no trouble.
I got Gresham's law tattoed on my left bicep
My worst nightmare is there'll be no pennies left.
I hit up a bank or two or thirteen
I come home with 50 boxes, a stacker's dream.

Been spending most our lives, living in a copper paradise.
I'll be spending half my laugh, building a copper paradise.

Not into that genre myself, but ... not bad. Not bad at all.

Awsome
"The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks create money is so simple the mind is repelled. With something so important, a deeper mystery seems only decent." John Kenneth Galbraith 1975

BRILLIANT! big weird al fan here(coolio, not so much) BTW coolio was the only artist who refused to let al do a cover(his label overrode him, and he was pissed) For those here not familiar with weird al, it generally considered an honor for him to spoof your song. MJ, nirvana, and madonna agreed, but coolio actually threatened him to not make amish paradise.

This would have been great for Ray's Realcent Anthem Contest.
