UPDATE What do you want auctioned first?

Postby theshoenlebens » Fri Jul 27, 2012 10:54 am

Got an interesting call last night. My appraiser (probably close to 75 yrs old) that I've used a couple of times wanted to know if I wanted to come out and look at some coins. I guess these are his\her parents coins that have been sitting around and they are wanting to get rid of them. He thought I might be interested in looking at them. :P He didn't know I was sorta into coins and instead of going to whomever to cash them in he thought I would want to get a peek. Well, he about dropped the phone when I told him the melt value of silver coins.

He doesn't know even what is there and he also said he thought there was a couple of gold coins also. :o . I'm not in the position to buy any of these but I'm going to see if he wants me to sell them for him here. I have no knowledge on grading or anything so if i see anything I think is good i'll post here and let you guys decide if it will be worth more than melt.

I've teased long enough..........i'll let you guys know what they look like Monday night or so :D

If it were me, I'd wait until the next KSA (10 days) and list most/all of it there. Split it up into multiple listings of course.

I'd also like to recommend putting the collection up, in small lots or some individually, to our realcent KSA's. You would find a fair price and also give us guys a crack at the loot!

Sorry everyone but all the silver is gone. Some currency might go to the KSA along with some other misc. Prob going to purchase the rest myself. Sorry again but the offer was good and the gentleman will appreciate the money.
