My wifes change cup...

Postby tedandcam » Wed Aug 08, 2012 8:11 pm

I was looking for some scotch tape today and found a Steak n Shake cup about half full with change in it. It had a zip lock with maybe $6 in nickels. I figured I'd look through it later on. I looked in the zip lock first and couldn' t believe it when I found 4 war nickels AND a 1939d nickel in it. None of the nickels were newer than 1999. 14 of the coins were pre-war and 20 of them were pre 1960. Makes me wish I started this hobby in 2000. The only other thing I found was a nice 1926 wheat pennt and 40% of the pennies were copper. Later on I'm gonna ask her if she has anymore change cups around the house :D

I'm always caught going through people's coin cups. Then the long explanation starts.

 Do you get invited back to the places where you go through the change cups!?

Not a bad idea if the change cup owners aren't upset at you. Hope you find lots of 'goodies'!

I usually don't get invited back, and it's mostly friends and friends of friends' coin cups I look through. Most of them tell me to take the nickels/pennies :D
