Goodbye $20 something silver. You were my first summer fling in a very long time. I enjoyed every moment together with you but now you are leaving me. I will try to call you one more time next week. Maybe you will answer. :(

Gold just went vertical again, up to $1637, silver up to $29.26.

Love it!! Been buying all summer...

If we get a rip like we did when SILVER went from $17 to $31, and then later $25 to $49, it would be truly nice. The first uplift was an 82% rise. The second blowoff uplift was a 96% rise. Total uplift from $17 to $49 was a 188% rise.

Let's say it does it again. First new uplift would take us from $26 SILVER to $47 in quick order; the is the fast one which could occur in the next couple months. A second subsequent uplift in 2013 could start from perhaps $40 taking us from there to $80!! Quite possible I think.... Are you ready?

Wasn't the massive silver move to $50 due to a short squeeze? If all of those short positions are unwound, then I wouldn't expect such a move to occur again - at least, it wouldn't occur for the same reason that it did previously.

So if this happens, will the price crash again? Do you sell at $65 or more, and buy again at a lower price; or ignore the price increase and just hold forever?

If it happens I'll break off a big chunk of silver and pay my house off
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

In a market there is no "straight up forever". Even Apple dips a bit here and there.

Assuming it ever happens I'll be out of a lot of my positions when it goes above 31 for a while.

My "core" though, primarily physical, I'm keeping for the foreseeable future, although I'll likely sell off a bit more of my 90% as I'm trying to go all .999 or proof/uncirculated stuff.

I am very tempted to dump all of my shares of NUGT today on this jump, but I am trying not to be so short sighted. My biggest concern is that NUGT moves a lot with the Dow since it is leveraged mining instead of just straight spot gold. The Dow seems too high to me at 13300+. I just don't see how it holds this point for much longer without a drop. Has there really been any good news? Anyway, just thinking out loud trying to decide what to do. The last few weeks have been killer. I am just afraid that I could really be kicking myself if I jump out now.

Holding physical! - That's a different story.

Cramer has some of the historically biggest "boofs" ever really.

He said BUY-BUY-BUY when Google was 750 a couple years ago. Right before it plummeted big time and it still hasn't gotten back to where he said "buy".

There are a dozen others that I recall but that's the only one I have semi-hard numbers for.

He's an entertainer people :) And creating controversy is more entertaining than gaining 10% to 15% per year :)

I really don't have a clue about where the resistance will be tested. $31.30 and $33.25 look to be important barriers.
Otherwise, it remains bullish until it proves otherwise.
I'm sure many will be giddy and show their spirit with pom poms and bullhorns.
Will leave it to them.

Well it didn't go up too much and I managed to buy some at a pretty good price. I guess up or down would make me happy now. I want to buy more but I wouldn't mind seeing a price higher than I payed either...

I think we're going there faster than we thought. SILVER could test $31.30 resistence quickly in the next few days. So far, it looks like big short covering.

Glad to see the so familiar 30 prefix to the price again.

I can't be the only thick headed one on here, so I'm going to do a public service and request that someone please post in plain English what JFF is trying to say in his last post. I am taking this as a bearish post. Are we in for a correction now?
