I'm trying not to get mad....

Postby creshka46 » Tue Aug 21, 2012 10:58 am

So I just sold nearly all of my silver this past weekend to pay for my wifes tuition coming up. I had been holding it all summer waiting for the prices to move but I just couldn't wait any longer, it needed to be paid. Now two days after I sell it we're already up 5% . If this breaks out I don't know whether I'll laugh or cry..............

BTW, thanks for letting me whine a little

All of us who have brought and sold silver know the pain you are going through because we all have missed the right time. Just begin again and be thankful that you had something to sell for your wife tuition. Keep hoarding.

If you think this is the high you are fooling yourself. This is still a fine entry point if you ask me!

Which will make more for you in the long run? A little silver or your wife having a better paying job?

Just traded one investment for another. ;)

Look at it this way. You sold some silver to provide for someone that it worth more than any precious metal.

thats life :)

it shows character to follow through on these deals even with a jump in spot

youd be surprised how many would back out or ask for more $$

Truth be told, most of us have gone through this and go through this from time to time ... some times far more painful than others! I can't remember the number of times I've thought, better buy now, but didn't ... only to see the price go up. Then something 'important' came up, like dear wife wanting new carpet and sold at a loss! (got nice carpet though)

The worst one for me was maybe 13-15 years ago when Apple stock was selling at 10$ per share. I thought then, 'I should buy a 1,000 shares of that stock' ... but folks were saying how small the market share for Apple products was compared to PCs, so it was not a good investment. I listened to to the voices of wisdom and didn't buy any Apple stock  Right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x Where is Apple stock today?

Well, guess it teaches us to not 'sweat the small stuff' or the 'big stuff' either. There will be some good days, too.

Now let's see ... where is that blasted cat! I'm hungry. woof, whine, drool, sniff ... 'here kitty, kitty, kitty, nice kitty. Where are you little kitty?

I feel for you man.

I took an extension on income tax this year hoping for a rise. I put the money I think I'm going to owe into PMs. Looks like it might pay off for me. :?
Always look out for number one. Unless someone is throwing poop around.

The look out for number two.

I have almost 800 pounds of copper rads waiting, lots of money on a CC because I don't want to sale yet. But if it does not go up quickly I will have to let it all go and start again.
