Silver is on the move, did we just pass the bottom?

Postby JobIII » Wed Aug 22, 2012 10:50 am

Hi All,

Just speculating a little about silver's potential future run. If you read it leave a message on the site or comment here. I'm interested to hear what other people think about what silver is going to do.

Silver is on the move, was this a bottom?

Kind regards,

Here's a post I made on April 29, 2012:

I guess the big question is did everyone buy the one-year dip increasing your SILVER holdings, or have you sold off some your holdings of SILVER since then? Personally, I have more SILVER now then I did then. How about YOU!

For the past few months, SILVER has been consolidating. I think things will get HOT again this fall, starting in August. NOW is a great time to stack, and we are in the OFF-SEASON, moving into summer.

Recently I made this post:

Love it!! Been buying all summer...

If we get a rip like we did when SILVER went from $17 to $31, and then later $25 to $49, it would be truly nice. The first uplift was an 82% rise. The second blowoff uplift was a 96% rise. Total uplift from $17 to $49 was a 188% rise.

Let's say it does it again. First new uplift would take us from $26 SILVER to $47 in quick order; the is the fast one which could occur in the next couple months. A second subsequent uplift in 2013 could start from perhaps $40 taking us from there to $80!! Quite possible I think.... Are you ready?

I believe SILVER will leave $26+ behind like it did with $17+. I don't think SILVER is going to come back to these levels. SILVER is going higher, and the bottom is in. How much higher? I guess anyone can make a guess, but I'd bet substantially higher than where it is right now. The new higher level will be known in the next 6 months or so. I'd say, it's time to hoard up!

How does the saying go, "great minds think alike".

Here's to hoping silver continues to climb. I really don't mind if silver climbs and then plummets just so long as I'm not underwater when the dips come :?

Thanks for posting. now, recently and back in April :D

I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of a dip to make my next buy. This is a nice run though. :-)

Why do you need $26?

Just buy now at $29.50 (or whatever) and sell at $40.

That's a lot more profit than buying at $26 and selling at $29.50.

Excellent point!

3 up days strung together and with all the excitement and you'd think one of those clowns from the discovery channel caught a bigfoot.

still trading in that 27-32 range..............I do, however, believe 35 is more likely than 25.

Newbies, how about a retraction to $12, just like a few years back or maybe even to $6 just 8 years ago....now wouldn't that just be sweet. Silver would dry up but then it would be available again slowly but surely....

I'd like to see $10 Silver! Imagine the amount of stacking that we all could do :)

Buy and hold. Yup. That would be me!

I'm net short quite a few oz over the last 24 hours, so Murphy's law tells me it'll keep climbing for a while.

A pullback would be very welcome.

My pleasure fb101 and thank you for the kindness. $27.90 and adding lower if seen might make sense.

Most are screaming armageddon and that all will fall so I guess all will bounce back. But I am probably going to be 100% wrong.
Just loaded a second full allocation at $26.89

I'm SUPER long silver (paper) with buy-prices at $30 and $31. So getting BACK to $30 even for a while is nice :)

Thank goodness for the power of options :)

Silver has been consolidating for months. Sure, it's been knocked back a bit, but, seriously, $26/oz is the new $10/oz. I'd be foolish to say it's nothing but onward and upward from here. I do believe the trend lines are pointing up and $33/oz is a doable goal within a mere month.

There are so many external factors influencing the POG and POS now. We could all name at least 6 and maybe even 10. These plus the populus becoming SO polarized for their candidate of choice in the presidential election has caused people to become overly emotional and passionate. I believe many people have become extremely distracted with the pending election. More and more been jolted awake after finally realizing they've been lied to, having their intelligence insulted and buried in rhetorical dung for many months.

Where will this all end? Wish I knew. I'm hunkering down and diverting a larger percentage of my income into Ag. Don't fall in love with the glitzy, shiny coins and bars. Do your research, define your entry point into the market and stick to it. You'll never catch the exact bottom of any commodity, but you sure will enjoy the great feeling as you climb toward the summit.

3. I wish I had bought more... I just can't bring myself to buy more now when it was so low for three months. Still, I'm glad I bought what I did.
