Do small bank coin sorting machines spit out silver dimes and quarters for them? I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time sorting these purchased in bags from my local bank. I know there's at least one teller at this bank who would keep them if the machine spits them out.

Most machines do not quick/reject the silver. Your percentages in the quarters is going to be very low though. 1 per $4,000 searched is average.
