My grandpa gave me an ASE when I was a kid and that was partly what got me into the hobby. A couple years ago he also gave me a peace dollar and a half full jefferson nickel book with some silver in it. My grandma and grandpa are kind of the typical oldtimers, he's a little bit crotchety and she's a little bit of a busy body, and they're always bickering a little. So while we were look at these coins he gave to me and some others he says, "I would have more of these but a while back apparently SOMEONE decided to clean the closet out and send some to the bank ." And she yells from the other room, "Well how was I supposed to know they were special!" I just had to smile :) I agree, grandparents are amazing.

I need to talk to my grandparents about their collection. I remember looking through a jar with a bunch of Peace dollars several years ago, but they've had their home broken into a few times since then with some valuables stolen. It's about time we documented their hoard. :D
