What do I have here? Chinese?

Postby joemac » Thu Oct 11, 2012 6:27 pm

My main question here is are these of any silver content? I have the opportunity to acquire them. Supposedly came from his grandfather who was in the service. I understand there are knockoffs of these, but I believe them to be real. Is there a quick way to determine? Magnet? I'm looking for a value if silver.

Chinese silver dollars are popular on Ebay if you have some way of making sure they are authentic. Some of them are quite rare - hence the knock-offs.
