I've been away from sorting for a couple of weeks:

1 box of nicks:

1 war - 1944P
28 pre-1960 (3 x 1938)
no buffs
no V's (still never scored one in the wild)

3 - 2009D, 2 - 2009P

$231.50 in loose and/or CWR of halves from 9 diff banks:

21 - 40% (4 - 1966, 4 - 1967, 11 - 1968, 2 - 1969)
5 - 90% (all 1964)
NIFC - 2x 2005, 3x 2009

Pretty good day - I think I was pretty efficient hitting 9 banks in less than 2 hrs. 14 of the 40% halves came from one bank where I got $40 in CWR.

This has been one poor batch of boxes this week, but you have to take the good with the bad.

$528.50 bag of halves--skunked and was shorted $3.00. The bank tellers said it was counted out twice by hand, but my count and the credit unions counting machine both came up 3 bucks short.

$430 Half CWRs

Went to my source bank today ready to get my 3 boxes of halves. The vault teller was on vacation and forgot to order the halves this week. However, she ordered 12 boxes of pennies for me instead which I gladly took home with me. I asked if any loose halves were available. The other teller said she had $430 worth that "a collector" brought in that have already been looked over. She was right, nothing found at all, but you never know with CWRs. Anyway, I got a 1944-S wheatie in change at a grocery store today. Funny, getting the wheatie in change made me happy all day.
